I work closely with you to understand how you play, how you gather, and how the table will be used in your home. The Build Process

I work closely with you from the first conversation through to final delivery, and you work directly with me at every stage. From our initial discussion to the moment your board game table arrives at your door, I am hands on and involved throughout the entire build.

Initial Conversation

We begin by discussing your space, your goals for the table, and what you want it to bring to your home. We talk through how you play, the features you are interested in, and any custom elements that will make the table personal and one of a kind.

This first conversation is about getting to know you and your vision, while also giving you a better understanding of the craftsperson designing and building your custom board game table (that’s me). My goal is to build trust and comfort from the very beginning so the design and build process feels clear, collaborative, and as enjoyable as possible.

Design Alignment and Quoting

Based on our discussion, I develop a clear design direction and detailed quote. I provide visual references and renderings to help you see how the table will look and how custom elements come together. This ensures we are aligned and envisioning the same final result before moving into the build phase.

Queue Holding Deposit

A $250 queue holding deposit secures your place in my build schedule and allows final details to be refined and confirmed before materials are ordered.

Material Selection and Build

As your build window approaches, I personally select the hardwoods for your table and begin the build in my Calgary shop. Throughout the process, small refinements may be made to ensure the best possible outcome. Any major changes are always discussed and approved in advance. Delivery or Shipping

Finished tables are either delivered locally or shipped across Canada and the United States in custom built foam lined crates. Each crate is designed and packed by me for maximum protection during transit. All shipments are fully insured and secured using durable, heavy duty packing materials so your table arrives safely and ready to be enjoyed.

After Delivery

My involvement does not end once your table is delivered. I genuinely care about how the table is working for you, the time spent around it, and the memories being made on it. Staying connected after delivery allows me to make sure everything continues to feel right as the table becomes part of your home.

If questions come up or something does not feel quite right, I am always an email away. I take pride in addressing concerns promptly and thoughtfully, and I am always happy to help with care, maintenance, or any adjustments that may be needed over time. I also love seeing and hearing about these tables in action and how they are being enjoyed.

Design and Feature Options

Every custom board game table is tailored to your needs. Features are selected intentionally and with purpose, never added for the sake of complexity. The goal is a table that feels cohesive, functional, and designed specifically for how you play and gather.

Wood Choice

I primarily work with premium hardwoods known for durability and long term beauty, including:

  • Walnut

  • Maple

  • Cherry

  • White Oak

I can also source a wide variety of other domestic and exotic hardwoods depending on the look and feel you are trying to achieve.

Table Style

The style of your table can influence both gameplay and the atmosphere around it. Available shapes include:

  • Rectangular

  • Hexagonal

  • Circular

  • Square

Each shape offers a different experience, and I help guide this decision based on how you play and how the table will be used.

Tables also can have different armrest widths and styles to add to your game play. Available armrest styles

  • Wide (6”+)- A wide version that allows for a comfortable playing experience and additional accessories to be added

  • Slim (3”)- A narrower version for a slim and modern look to the table focused on maximizing game play area

  • Player stations- Individual player stations that flip out to increase playing and storage area or can be closed when added playing area is not needed. They are 6” wide when closed and 12” deep when open

  • Vault depth typically ranges from 2.25 inches to 3.25 inches depending on the table design

  • Custom vault depths can be accommodated upon request

  • Each table includes a neoprene rolling mat for quiet rolling and smooth movement of components, a wide range of colors, terrains, grids, and custom images are available

  • Designed to protect game components and improve gameplay

  • Easy to clean and maintain

Accessories and the optional magnetic game rail are what truly elevate gameplay. With a wide variety of options available, your game nights can be customized to suit your style of play.

I work efficiently while never rushing the process, ensuring each table receives the attention it deserves.
